What's going on in Term 3?

It's been going on for 2 weeks plus, but I've not updated anything about it yet...term 3, it started excellently!

The first class of the week will be Maths, followed by F&B theory classes on spirits. The next subject on my list this term is English, and not just by any other lecturer, by Dr. Anne herself. English became even more livelier when she's teaching, you really do learn more than English.

Aside from those 3, I'll be having Accounting again, but thank God, this time, it's easier because it's Cost Accounting, and it only concentrates on the expenses! Hmmm, what else is next?

There's the usual Kitchen and Restaurant operation, but this term we'll be having themes to go with our dishes and interior decoration.

The first week will be Malay Cuisine, followed by Chinese Cuisine, then Indian Cuisine.

International Cuisine and Asian Cuisine will be the final 2 weeks, so I'll be looking forward to those final 4 weeks, since Group 3 and 4 have alernate weeks in the kitchen and restaurant.

I guess this term, everything regarding kitchen and restaurant will be more on Malaysian/Asian Cuisine. Even during pastry, we did desserts such as Kuih Onde-Onde, Asian crepe, y'know, those green coloured ones with coconut fillings in it..then there's Kuih Ochi.

I wonder what types of desserts will we be doing tomorrow, Chinese desserts maybe?

Though we'll be more on the Eastern side this term, we do have something which relates to the Westerners, this IS a French Diploma anyway.

I have Oenology! In a simple sentence, it's a class where we learn about wines. =D

This is where the fun begins. We'll be tasting and experimenting on various types of wines, and Mr. Remi does his job very well, and he's French!

In my opinion, you're only qualified to teach Oenology if your family owns a huge vineyard and you make your own wine, and Mr. Remi and his family got these under their belt.

So what else is fun about this term? The assignments! Where else can you learn about brandy, whisky, gin, wine and cocktails and mocktails?
Our assignement for the F&B theory class is on brandy, and my groupmamtes and I will be able to show our kick-ass cocktail making skills in class! *does 'Rock' sign and nods head*
For Oenology, Erwin and I will be writing on Loire Valley and the wines that comes from there.
In Applied Tech in Kitchen with Chef Fadzly, my group will be working on Chinese food...and we plan to bring in samples during class just to let the others take a try at it...hopefully there will be no suckling piglet! ><
There will be an assignment on English, but we've not touched that yet, so maybe by next week, we'll be given our topics.

There's only Kitchen and Pastry Class tomorrow..
..which reminds me..
better go digest my notes now...
